Review on MotoFab Lifts F150-3F-2R - 3 Inch Front and 2 Inch Rear Leveling Lift Kit for 2004-2014 Ford F150 by Dylan Goins

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Looks great, lots of work as the trucks get older.

This kit is well made and I think it will last as long as the truck. The tail assembly went well and I completed it in about 45 minutes. The front, however, was a different story. My truck is from Canada, mileage 110,000, so I had to burn out the bottom bushings on the shock absorbers to loosen the bolts stuck there. After I burned them out, I needed new struts or bushings. I figured since they are 110,000 miles old I'll just replace the strut assemblies. Since the struts were brand new, the lower links could not be lowered far enough to insert the struts with the spacers mounted on them. I ended up having to remove the steering knuckles to get the lower wishbones down far enough to install the struts. After putting everything back together I had 4 inches of lift up front (the new stays say they take a while to get used to the new ride height) and 2 inches in the rear when installed over the old blocks. As a result, the truck on jacks waited a week for new shelving assemblies. I would suggest ordering new racks with this kit as most trucks of this generation are getting old and you may run into the same issues. I like how the truck looks now though.
