Review on Makita XAG04Z Brushless Cordless Angle Grinder: Powerful Lithium Ion Technology by Eric Garron

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Remarkably handy, but eats up batteries almost as fast as it drags.

I have several Makita LXT 18 volt tools. They are all of very good quality and this one is no exception. I used it to smooth cement stains, it's powerful and not very noisy. I didn't even feel the need to protect my ears. My only complaint is how quickly our battery drains. I use 2.0Ah batteries for all my tools. They're lightweight and last long enough with other tools for most jobs, including a chainsaw. But this grinder will drain a 2Ah battery in just a few minutes of use. I ordered a 4Ah battery for this device which should last twice as long. This will still be fairly short, but a lot more useful. Otherwise, this is another great tool in the Makita LXT line.
