Review on 🏎️ Timken HA590202 Rear Wheel Hub and Bearing: Superior Quality for Smooth Ride Performance by Andy Syla

I am a retired workshop owner. Installing two rear Timken wheel bearing assemblies was the right choice for my 2008 Honda Accord. I learned a hard lesson by installing 2 Raybestos Professional Grade hubs/bearings (made in China) in front of Timkens (sourced, made in USA). . Immediately after installing the two rear Reybestos bearings/hubs: . ABS (Anti-lock Braking System), VSA (Vehicle Stabilization System, similar to side-slip anti-lock braking) and Traction Assist were all DISABLED. Although the main brakes still worked, I had to underperform with the braking system until I figured out how to fix the problem. . I have documented "three" of the exact same specific Reybestos bearing defects (2 of which were installed upon removal / one received new for repair, the 3rd was sent back to Rockauto as soon as I discovered the defect). too many magnetic lines which would generate too many (about 4 extra) millivolt AC pulses per revolution going to the ABS VSA computer. . This defect disables important braking safety functions. The ABS VSA computer simply CANNOT calibrate with such a defect!. and ABS and VSA are deactivated. I have documented this issue with a simple re-check using an encoder reader card (ABS ATE test card 760130 at Revain) to see the magnetic lines and a digital camera to get a larger image of the Raybestos encoder rings compared to the old OEM get encoders. rings. After taking a closer look and counting these lines, the problem was finally revealed. I counted a dozen times before realizing I had a "defect" in front of me! .It was a huge surprise! Timken brand bearings had encoder rings that matched the OEM. . Then installing Timken completely solved the problem. The more advanced ABS braking systems with VSA and/or traction control on my Honda Accord could not work with non-OEM ABS coding rings! I think this applies to most vehicles with ABS VAS systems, but I only have a small part of the picture. . Go with Timkens instead of Raybestos. That was my experience!
