This toilet brush is quite durable and does the job. Reading the reviews they talk about unscrewing but that was my experience as everything became cheap plastic junk they unscrew ALL I only remember when I clean the toilet and turn it clockwise and hold it. Left is loose, right is tight. Just like standard bolts and nuts. It's new, time will show a leaking rusty base, but I also give the bowl a few taps with the brush to shake off excess water before replacing it in the holder so there should be no stains. Excess water that accumulates inside contributes to rot. Water does not evaporate immediately in a dark environment, so be sure to shake off as much water as possible from the brush before placing the brush in a dark holder. Another common complaint I read about was the sticker on the base. I received a vinyl sticker that peeled off very easily and left no glue residue. The brush can be easily removed and reinserted. The base stays open when there is no brush in it and closes gently when replaced. Would I buy again if I had 2 holes.
