Review on πŸ”ͺ Enhance Cutting Precision with SHARPAL Credit Diamond Sharpening 3 Pack by Jake Pavelko

Revainrating 5 out of 5

It seems to help.

There are several warnings against using "cheap diamond stones" that they are unevenly spaced, blah blah. However, I have to say that they work very well. In terms of quality they are a thick layer of metal with diamond material bonded to the metal which is the preferred type. As opposed to a thin layer glued to wood, more metal or some other material. Monocrystalline is also the preferred type of this brand. The distribution of the diamond material seems decent to me. It's smaller outside, but I don't see that as a problem. For best results you will need to buy some honing liquid. Water will do, but there is a risk of damaging the sharpener from rusting the steel as it is very difficult to dry. I used Smith's Honing Solution which was MUCH cheaper than the recommended trend or krud cutter. It works great. I used them to sharpen my carbide burs for wood turning. If this product didn't work I would know for sure as I would have huge tears and an inability to work well. As such, I believe they do an excellent job of sharpening.

Pros
  • Patented ring handle to protect hands from injury when sharpening
Cons
  • Damaged
