I had no problems with this at all. I use this for my boat batteries and it works like a champ. The trickle charge works great and the batteries stay conditioned. I leave it on 24/7 when I'm not on the water. Since I have three different battery types, I occasionally switch from battery to battery, but it works for all of them. Recently the lawn mower wouldn't start. I put it on my lawn mower and the next day the battery was like new. It's lightweight and very easy to move and use. It's outside all the time and I haven't had any problems with the weather. It comes with several adapters - it was an added bonus. It just happens to work for the car I lost the charger for, so now it works for that too. I'm very glad I bought it and it works great. No issues with cooking batteries or anything negative.
