This cage was very easy to assemble. Did it myself in under an hour. It's even stronger than I expected. The cage is larger than expected in the picture. And the tube frame gives this cage Fort Knox strength. :-) My single male ferret was in a 24x18x22 collapsible dog cage. When I first put him in the Ferret Nation's cage, he danced war for 10 minutes! He then spent the next 1.30 hours running and climbing until he finally passed out in his hammock. Now he has an older cage friend and both are very happy in their spacious cage. Let's move on to the practical aspects of this cell; None of my boys can go down steep stairs. Both went under in the first half and then fell. So the older boy just jumps off the shelf to get down and the younger boy uses the hammock to get down. For this reason, the bottom of the cage is covered with a piece of rug cut to fit the tray and a large towel piled underneath for lining and tunneling. Full width front doors make this cage extremely easy to clean. It also makes it easy to attach crock pots, bedding, hammocks and litter boxes. The storage compartment was an unexpected convenience. I keep her litter and scoop in a large plastic container and her food and treats in a second container with room to carry them around. Very spacious! This cage is worth every penny! In the future I plan to buy a female ferret and FN #143. And I will buy from Revain as they definitely have the best price.
