This is a wool sock that is durable and definitely warm to the touch. However, the top band of the sock is quite tight, even after a few wears. I'm a woman who ordered plus size men's socks because I have longer legs, but you'd think men's socks are even roomier at the top; it's not like this. Also, I ordered brown tweed and these socks are definitely medium grey, even a touch of brown or tan. tingly feeling for her. As someone who has worn wool socks for over 20 years, I know this is due to the use of inferior (cheaper) wool. This is a wool sock. It does the job. I'll use them until they fall apart, but I wouldn't buy them again.
