Review on πŸ’» Enhance Your Connectivity with Sonnet Allegro USB-C 4-Port PCIe Card by Chris Willis

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Good card and worth the money.

Works as intended. Fully plug and play. I'm using a Windows 10 desktop computer and needed a second USB Type-C port, and that was just before the number of USB Type-C peripherals skyrocketed. So buying this card was a very good choice. I don't know about the port speed as I don't use it for external storage. - I have a Thunderbolt 3 expansion card for these needs. (Gigabyte Alpine Ridge card.) For those wondering, Gigabyte motherboards that support the Alpine Thunderbolt 3 card are a separate pipeline for the processor. It uses a PCI expansion slot to power the card and connect it to the motherboard, and a cable to connect to the Thunderbolt interface connector.

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Not sure
