I am very satisfied with the latch bolt. They removed the old slab and marked the places where the new slab will stand. I immediately noticed that the screws on the old plate were 3/4" long compared to the 3" on the new one. Revain states that it comes with (6) 3" screws, but that didn't make much of a difference. What was better for me was the packaging and the size of the screws I received. If you do NOT want to break the screws you will need to drill a pilot hole smaller than the diameter of the screw and then drill almost to the length of the screws so the wood will NOT crack and you win. don't break the screws. It also helps if you have a bar of soap, scrape the screw off the bar of soap, this will reduce friction and torque and make your job easier. For more protection, I also bought an 8-bolt home security door lock, a reinforced child-resistant door lock with a 3-inch stopper that holds 800 pounds for an inward-opening swing door.
