Review on Industrial Electrical Recessed Downlight Installation for Lighting Components by Sunco Lighting by Suhas Carney

Part of the eat-in kitchen refurbishment involved replacing existing 6 inch fluorescent lighting. Sunco's 4 inch back boxes and baffles were chosen for their style, the quality of the product finish, the stated performance guarantee (7 years!) and the price. Fit and fit are excellent. The lighting complemented the newly renovated kitchen beautifully. Really happy with the choice to use about 11 months. A block started flickering when turned on and eventually stopped working. Two days later, another will have only dim light. Sunco customer service was contacted and the warranty claim was processed quickly. Customer service is excellent and 3 baffles were sent out promptly as warranty replacements. When the replacement arrived a few days later, all 3 baffles were immediately out of service as the 3rd started to have dim light. About two weeks later, another flickered and stopped working, and then another that was just starting to stay weak. Sunco customer service was contacted again and 3 more baffles were sent as replacements. A few days after replacing the two faulty parts, the other just started to fade. So in just over 12 months, 6 out of 10 screens stopped working. Customer service explained that the error could be caused by a faulty driver in the device. Gave it two stars due to poor performance compared to advertised 7 year warranty but Sunco provided excellent customer service. If the lighting fails within 3-4 years, another star can be added to the rating. Hyperikon 4-inch (3K) LED screens are currently being evaluated as an alternative to other home lighting upgrades.
