First of all I want to admit that I didn't do a very good job on these boots. I didn't wipe hard, I didn't go back to the seats and I was very careless. However, when they say churn, they don't mean churn. If you apply soap to the fabric so that it looks even a little white, it will foam on the skin. So my photo shows the difference the soap makes with very little effort. While these boots were in the wringer, I think they're pretty cool so I wanted to keep them. Clean them first. For the second part check out my other reviews. And what about soap. First I cleaned a shoe, then I took a picture *after* it dried. I didn't mean to mislead you with moisture. I did this to take a picture of two boots. The left one gets cleaned, the right one doesn't.
