Excellent โ€œjust in caseโ€ phone for my son

I bought this phone as an emergency phone for my 9 year old. He does not typically walk without adult company, so the need for a phone at this stage of his life is not an emergency or necessity. However, I wanted him to be able to contact his father or me or call for help if he needed help, but I didn't want to pay an outrageous monthly maintenance or equipment fee. every month, so that seemed like a reasonable option. I was a little worried about its size and that he might lose it, but he takes it very seriously and keeps it charged and in his backpack so he knows where it is and can access it. as needed. I tested the phone without a SIM card and had no problems connecting to my home WiFi. We then bought a Speedtalk SIM card and I currently have the cheapest monthly service fee which is around $5 and some changes which I don't think are a bad price on a phone just in case. The phone is small, about 2.5 inches, I would say fits in the palm of my hand. 1 G RAM, it has 2.0 MP front camera and 5.0 MP rear camera. You will receive a phone, a screen protector, a transparent silicone case, a pen to open the SIM slot, a user manual and 1 USB cable and a charging box. The cable is very short so you may need a longer cable depending on your needs. I have no complaints about this phone. I will say that the screen is obviously small, so it will be difficult for your thumbs and hands to press the right buttons. Perfect for children's fingers. At home, my son uses wifi and can play games, surf the internet, etc. whenever he wants. Battery life is pretty decent, he doesn't use it daily so it can last about 2 days on one charge (usually lasts it when not in use). I'm very happy with our decision to go with this option as opposed to the other options available and would make the same choice again should the need arise.

Pros
  • Easy setup
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.
