Review on Effortless Tear Technology: Kamenstein Perfect Tear Patented Wall Mount Paper Towel Holder, 14-Inch, Silver with Rounded Finial by Jessica Thomas

Revainrating 4 out of 5

I never thought I would tell people how cool my paper towel holder is.

Is the excitement of a new paper towel holder an odd rite of passage into adulthood? Because that thing makes me happy. I had to replace our old paper towel holder after we got a new coffee maker. Paper towels placed under the cabinet hit the top of the coffee maker, making it difficult to use both. So I started looking for ones that I could mount vertically because my ability to move the paper towel holder was pretty limited. I found this one and was intrigued by the fact that it gives you the ability to cut a sheet with one hand. I have always believed that this skill must be learned, like a magician pulling a tablecloth from a set table. I succeeded from time to time, and felt a strange pride in my passing talent, but more often than not this resulted in me receiving far more sheets than I intended, or unwrapping half a roll on the counter. I then installed this. Vertical, on the side of my cabinet above the sink. I was afraid the reel would slip in the sink and unravel, but as advertised, it holds the reel and delivers on the promise of successful one-handed operation time and time again. The only complaint I have is that, as others have said, the set screws are too long to install the kitchen cabinet whether you place it on the floor or on its side like we did. Luckily the old paper towel holder we removed had much shorter screws so we just used those.

Pros
  • Outstanding Overall Achievement
Cons
