When purchasing you have to consider these underpants as disposable underpants which is very bad for both the consumer and the environment. By "disposable pants" I mean when you buy them you have to keep in mind that they will roll up (and they will) and end up looking pretty hideous. They end up throwing them away because they will look SO bad. I have three pairs of these different colors, the oldest of which I only wear around the garden and around the house. The newbies are both less than a year old (4 months to be exact) and both couples have some serious pimples on their inner thighs. (Yes, my feet are touching.) It's only a matter of time before they start rolling down the sides and elsewhere like my first pair. Others have complained about it too. This makes me very sad as I wear them to work and streetwear almost every day. They are very comfortable, fit me well, are easy to move and very versatile. But rolls. Given that Columbia sells them as hiking pants and they're expensive ($60), you'd think they'd designed a different fabric to match the nylon and prevent pilling. I'm just worried about buying them because I know I'll end up throwing them away and sending them to the landfill. How long should hiking pants last? I don't think Colombia.
