Almost "perfect in every way"! Consistent, evenly distributed heat even on low settings is a real relief. (I haven't tested the 10-hour auto shutoff yet. I just turn it off when I get up.) The fabric is luxurious and the cords aren't very noticeable. Without a doubt the best electric blanket we have ever used. However, the preheating function is to be taken seriously! I didn't leave it on long enough to check the hour-long shutdown because the controls were warmer than I expected and my OCD was setting in, so I just pay attention and turn the feature off after a short while. The cables are long enough and the controls are well designed, except that the lighting is very dim. When the buttons are pressed, the light with the numbers (or P for preheat) lights up a little. Very little boost! But I can see the numbers, so I wouldn't deduct a star for that. I hope this wonderful duvet will last for many seasons to come, because even, well-distributed heat makes for a better night's sleep.
