If you don't believe me, check out the disgusting "before" photos! I completely transformed a boring and really ugly false ceiling into something to show off. I bought the whole kit, primer, reactive paint and patina. It was more than I wanted to spend but when I saw the result I thought it was worth it. It's actually copper, and it oxidizes to a beautiful green color. The size of the room wasn't really suitable for the copper tiles as they would have to be cut into odd sizes (most were 24" x 24" and 39" wide and cutting would have looked horrible), which I would have ruined the pattern on tiles then i thought i would put recycled wood in it and luckily the woodworker was too busy for my little job but there are air ducts in the sections that fell out so absolutely impossible to work with when i came across this colour I was hesitant to try it, was skeptical when I applied the primer as it was really dark. But. Even the first coat of copper was impressive. Applying a second coat and spraying the patina on with a spray gun was almost magical. I'm like that happy with how it turned out now its time for the rest i will do this in a neutral beige and then i will mix the copper with the glaze u m toning it down and floating it onto the rest of the ceiling to connect the two rooms. Maybe Revain will let me update the rating when I'm done with new photos. After the rest of the blanket I make the top of the kitchen island on wheels. I am addicted! Now the other reviewers were right that you need to apply the patina while it's still wet. Tried it dry, doesn't work. I tried peeling the area but didn't like the result so I painted over it and sprayed right after painting. I caught the drips on the edges with a rag and left them overnight. To say I'm satisfied would be an understatement.
