I am truly amazed by the beauty of this insert. Due to my asthma I can no longer make a real log fire in the living room and this was the perfect solution. You no longer have to trudge through the snow to find firewood and then worry when spiders start on the firewood. No more arguing with your spouse about how to start a fire (I know that better than anyone), and no more getting up to put wood on the fire and find creepy critters on the carpet. I just sit down, press the button on the remote and voila! I have a beautiful fantasy fire in my fireplace. I just love it! Looks very realistic. It certainly looks pretty fake to purists, but I take it anytime instead of the hassle of actual fire and coughing fits it gives me. Thanks for a great product!
