Review on Enhance Comfort and Productivity with KINESIS Freestyle Pro Ergonomic Split Mechanical Keyboard - KB900-brn by Renee Vinith

I was looking for the perfect combination of ergonomics and a mechanical keyboard. That's pretty close on its own, but to be called an ergonomic keyboard you really need the VIP3 Pro (AC920 ASIN: B07CX5ZF3L) tent and palm rest kit. I liked the shape of the Microsoft Sculpt keyboard but after using 3 units each missing keystrokes I gave up on it. If you like the feel of this keyboard, this one (with the Pro kit) is exactly that. The brown switches are a welcome change from the red switches on my previous keyboard. I like the tactile punch and don't go as deep as I used to. It sucks that Kinesis sells an ergonomic keyboard that isn't inherently ergonomic. Until I received the VIP3 Pro kit, I felt pain in my wrists no matter how I positioned the two halves. The VIP3 Pro pretty much becomes a must-have if you value ergonomics. Mechanical keyboards are becoming a dime a dozen, but inexpensive mechanical ergonomic solutions are few and far between. Getting someone to buy another item after spending a lot already feels like a slap below the belt. Despite all this negativity, I still think this is a solid 5-star keyboard. My use of the Sculpt keyboard allowed me to get started with it right away with no learning curve required. It will take some time for beginners, but if you stick to it, you'll print just as well on the old rectangular boards.
