Threads slightly smaller than standard NPT. Sometimes this causes it not to close properly. This is a very small amount of deflection, but sufficient to fit the female NPT thread without binding and may not provide a watertight seal. No amount of teflon tape could fix it. Another star deducted for rust spots on the stainless steel. Looks like inferior stainless steel. Price-wise, however, it's still good value.
