As you can see from the photos I decided to downsize the wheels to 3 inches which lowers the center of gravity significantly and makes my cart more stable. The old (30 year old) wheels showed great signs of wear and from the age of 2 years their stationary use was limited. Now that everyone has 4 vertebrae, their usage changes exponentially. These are beautifully designed reels and they spin so sweet. However, I lubricated the bearings closest to the mounting plate with WD-40 White Lithium Grease. These are the bearings where you cannot visually see ball bearings. After lubrication, an increase in smoothness was noticeable. The other visible bearing seems well lubricated and left it alone. Do your research when changing wheels and make sure the plate holes are accurate. I've seen many of those listed that even looked the same, but the bolt hole patterns were different. These videos work incredibly well, I can't see anything better.
