I went online to buy a new filter (which lasted over a year) and saw that there was a larger and quieter system. So I bought this to upgrade the Allen Air Fit50 in our fairly large living room. It moves more air and is even quieter. A replacement air purifier has moved into my office. We have them in all bedrooms. They have been stable for many years. Our first one I just moved is over 6 years old and still like new. As a result, we have significantly reduced the amount of dust. Don't even consider our allergies. And the house always smells of cleanliness.
