I never used this type of polishing pad before I started polishing my tobacco pipes, woods and mouthpieces. I originally bought 70-ply wheels, they were cheaper but worked fine. However, last time I went with Stadea 90-ply and I think the difference was huge. First, there's a lot less loose wool flying around. Second, they are more durable and provide better contact with the workpiece. I admire the results of using Manzerna Polishing Paste. In hindsight, I should have bought them initially as the results were much better with less effort, albeit at a higher cost, but not by much.
