I bought these extensions to finish my new PC. The case I bought uses a splitter for the two front RGB fans, so the motherboard can't see the speed of each fan. In fact, the speed is not displayed at all. So with these I was able to remove the splitter and connect each fan to the motherboard individually as my MB has many fan connectors. I can now see the speed of each of the two front fans so I can set individual alarms for each. The quality of these cables is top notch. They are beautifully woven and have good solid connectors that are easy to plug in and out when needed. I'm pretty picky about how my cables are routed. When I build a PC, I like things to be neat and tidy. They were, after all, the perfect length to plug in and didn't have a lot of cord to hide or hide. I only needed two but my son has the same suitcase so I can use two to set it up properly at some point. To be honest I don't know why they call these cables "splitters". Splitter cables are very different. They are cable extensions rather than splitter cables. But in any case, this is a good quality multi-purpose cable at a reasonable price.
