Several reviews indicate the module is either burned out or melted. This is probably because it was not plugged in properly. You want to take two black wires and either ground them to bare metal or connect them in PARALLEL with a ground wire. The problem with series installation is that other circuits can share the same ground. For example the ground of my 3rd brake light is also the ground of the rear heater and can see currents up to 50 amps. If I cut off this ground and connected this module in series, it would burn out when the defroster was turned on. It should only be wired in series with the positive (red) wires. It would be a 5 star product if it came with this information. I knew doing this was wrong, but many people would not recognize their units and would burn them.
