Review on ๐Ÿšง Black 37 inch KidCo G1001 Pressure Mount Gateway Child Pet Gate by Monica Moody

Revainrating 5 out of 5

For our family this is great for our furry little ones.

So we don't have human children, our furry ones. We've used many gates over the years as pet parents, they've always been wooden, fairly short, and we've often stepped over them rather than detach them and get them out of the way. We haven't had a gate in several years (since we lost our last dog and only had cats), but we wanted our sliding door to open without letting our cat onto the porch. When I saw this gate I thought it would give us the security we need but give him the freedom to enjoy the fresh air and street views. These gates work great. We have a few nuances: we didn't want to be attached to anything like a wall, they need to function by leaning against the door, I wanted the gate to go in and out more easily, and I wanted something so we could can keep it (23 lbs) from falling, but it won't hurt it if it falls. These gates work on all levels. I'll admit it: I didn't set it up the way it was supposed to - we got it the week my wife broke her leg badly and I was just trying to keep it going - so it's leaning an open door - and it works great. I can't speak to the actual setup - it's something human parents want - but for furry babies, it worked for us. It's a sturdy, durable item that can be clipped on and I'd say for those with dogs you want to click on. It's strong, solid, and not too heavy, but heavy enough that if it falls, it'll hit something smaller. But here it literally leans against it, the gate stays closed, and I can easily open the gate and walk back and forth. It looks beautiful, is well designed and we can give our cat a breath of fresh air - just like we can. I'm very happy with this goal and if I never get the chance to finish building it, I'm fine with that. But as far as I can tell, I'll be even happier once I've done that.
