The top edge of the filters is slightly curved and a bit rough so that the filters stick together. I've never had a box that didn't have this. If you don't notice this when you put the filter in the holder, which I don't notice half the time, the coffee grounds get into the coffee over the edge of the filter. Market? Because as far as I can tell, this is the only filter that fits a Bunn coffee maker. They got you no matter what. The Bunn filter should be slightly higher than the filter on other coffee machines, otherwise there will be too much coffee grounds. While I love the coffee Bunn makes, fighting filters is enough to keep me from buying another Bunn.
