Review on 💧 Water Softener Pillow - API by Nikki Lewis

This bag actually contains loose granules sized twice the size in the photo. The picture on the packaging is misleading. Attached to the pillow is another blank piece of roughly the same size, doubling the size of the pillow. The bag is longer and twice as wide as stated on the packaging for 1 small filter bag. When the bag is removed, the pellets fall to the bottom of the bag. You have half of the bag that needs to be folded and will not fit in the small internal filter. I have a 5 gallon heavy duty filter aquarium that uses AQ10FC-60 filter cartridges. There are no instructions on how to insert the water softener filter into the inner filter. This is not to say that it is not suitable for such filters or for 5 gallon tanks. That's why I bought the pillow. There is no customer service that does not take days to access. When you make a call you get a message that you will be called back in a day or two. All online instructions were insufficient for my purposes. I threw the bag into the water in my spare tank to see if it softened. No change so far. I returned the unused package. Update: The pillow was left in reserve water for a week. The water hardness does not change. I forgot to take a picture of the dry pillow. In my photos the pillow is after a week of soaking. It gives you an idea of the size of the pad versus the filter for my 5 gallon tank.
