Review on 🍽 Cuisinart Over-The-Sink Colander: 5.5 Qt Stainless Steel - Convenient Kitchen Strainer for Efficient Food Preparation by Rashonda Guareno

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Good colander for colanders and food sieves

Sturdy colander, side parts can be pulled out easily and hold over the sink. The net is small enough that you can pull anything in without worrying about it falling through. The power supply attaches to the ledge and moves back enough to allow food to get (and get) under the ledge. So if you don't turn it upside down after each wash to care for it, you'll miss out on drying out pieces of vegetables or noodles. Sometimes you can push your lip back far enough and wash it off, other times you need an old toothbrush or toothpick to remove leftover food. To clean I usually use a soapy washcloth and wipe down both sides of the mesh and then check under the headband to make sure there's nothing inside before it dries. Sometimes just rinsing under running water is enough. What I like about this colander is that it's really convenient to use, it's right there. I've used it for almost everything. I've even used it to store small items after washing. Everything I cook is immediately thrown into a colander for a quick rinse. Haven't used any of our other colanders since I got this one, it's so handy. It's very durable and I haven't had any issues with it tipping over, rusting, falling apart etc. The handles are good and don't scratch the edges of the sink.
