Zyxel AV2000 Powerline Kit does what it should. This provides connectivity over the power lines in your home. The signal will drop quite a bit if you use them from one circuit (room 1) to another circuit (room 2). Using my downstairs router, I'm getting about 200Mbps in the upstairs room on a different circuit than the transmitter's powerline adapter. More than enough for what I need, but not the 1 Gb/s connection I was hoping for. One limitation I've found is that there isn't enough room for the top outlet to plug in another grounded plug. Luckily I found what worked for me. Cable Matters (2-pack) 3 outlets 180 degree grounded wall tap 1 I now have 3 extra outlets available over the Zyxel powerline adapter. Everything is nice and comfortable.
