Do you have a teenage daughter who is constantly putting on makeup, getting ready, styling her hair with flat irons, blow dryers and other tools needed for daytime tidying up? I surprised my daughter when I took this $20 set of mirror lights and a $20 round mirror (I also bought from Lowe) and made a large, beautiful lighted vanity mirror in about 20 minutes! Add mirror (see fig. 1), then LED lights (see fig. 2) after about 20 minutes. It was insanely easy. The hardest part was removing one side of the double sided tape from each LED light. I never knew how to put my fingernail right under the tape. Anyway, I measured and glued 10 lights evenly around the circle. So easy. I wish the cords were a little better trained between fires. The cord wraps around the base of the lantern, but at the spacing I had between my lanterns in a circle you can see the extra cord. My engineering brain wants the wire between the lights to be taut. Not to do with the dimensions of a round mirror. If I wrapped them around a square mirror or larger area the cable would work better. My daughter didn't care, she loved it. She immediately noticed 2 levels of light. Warm and cool? She changes color depending on what she is doing. The light is also dim and it has become her night light in her room. I don't mind having these headlights on 24 hours a day, 7 days a week because they're LED, they use insanely low power and are long lasting so they work great. Finally, more than 2 months have passed. Not only do all her friends say it's COOL, but I noticed that she decorated the light with some GLITTER (see fig 3). Not sure if these are the necklaces she wears and keeps on her lamps or just for decoration? Either way, this is a great, easy, and quick project to brighten up your kids' lives. Buy these lights, you will love them!
