I have tried TWO of these cables and neither of them work at USB 3.0 speeds. The first one didn't work at all, but allowed devices to be connected via USB 2.0, so I didn't notice it at first until I used a device that only required USB 3.0. I ordered a replacement and it at least connects to USB 3.0 but reconnects every 10 seconds making it completely unusable as any device connected to 3.0 instead of 2.0 would drop the connection. I don't know which is worse, but both don't live up to what they advertise. I went with a slightly larger cable from another brand and had no problems with it the first time I tried it.
