We are helping our daughter renovate a pretty cozy old house and the existing garage door was functional but ugly as hell. I ordered the English Oak kit and after watching the videos I followed the instructions. These photos aren't very good as they're just quick shots during construction, but they help get the point across. After washing and drying the original white door and removing the dents and dents, I applied the base paint as directed, followed by two coats of wood grain finish using the glove provided. So easy. It's not hard guys. Just read and follow the instructions. My daughter found a beautiful mahogany front door from Craftsman that is much darker than English oak. We just cleaned the painted surface of the garage door and then applied two coats of Royal Mahogany Wood Finish which ended up matching the front door really well. Please note that the set includes materials for a 2 car garage door, cleverly split in half so those with a car door have another circle for other projects. I can't count the number of passers-by who came up to me and asked how the hell I do it! The neighbors couldn't believe that a) it wasn't a real wooden door and b) it was the same 40 year old battered white door that was in the house. This product is amazing and I plan to use it on my garage doors. Just reading the instructions and watching the video I don't understand how someone can have a hard time getting great results. take action.
