My rating is 100% positive for a great compact ladder but it has 2 downsides. 1 - The tubes will NOT slide in and out in cold weather as the snow melts. on it and then closed - it freezes in the closed position - cannot open and move forward. 2 - The top little peg that holds the top step in place is not very thick and cracked in the cold snowy weather and WOW what a surprise. Once that cap broke and the top step would no longer hold in place, ALL the steps on the right leaked out, head to the stairs! You read that right - I was at ground level so no injuries but if I went up the ladder and hit the plastic cover with a tool and broke it I would end up in the mud - I'm sending mine back - bought 4 only 1 broke, was but too scared to get up again. As an aside I have another brand in green that is shorter with a thicker MIUCH top tube and a much thicker fiberglass plastic cap that is industrial strong - 3x the price and 100x safer.
