When I bought this item and used it on my Samsung Galaxy J7 phone, I couldn't understand it at first. After installing an external drive via the loading input, the connection to the external drive is displayed at the top left. Click on it and select "Open". When it opens, click on "My Files" and you will see all the folders in your photo folders. Select Edit, select Photos or Select All to transfer everything, then select Move and select an external drive to transfer all items to an external drive. I'm sorry if I don't know the correct terms to indicate where to find all the items described, but it's pretty simple. Just choose never delete. I then unmounted it by swiping from top to bottom. Once ejected, you can pull it out and then plug it into your computer. Choose a folder and transfer your photos/videos. I have a Mac and an external drive, and the photos and videos are saved on the external drive. When you're done transferring, make sure you eject it as well before unplugging the USB stick from your computer.
