I have a love-hate relationship with them. They are easier to install than regular cheap anchors and hold up better. But PLEASE do not use as a self-drill. I've destroyed many anchors and many walls believing that these plastic things can be installed with a screwdriver. You need to make a pilot hole. A major benefit I have found with this product is that the pilot hole size can be kept small and is a much more forgiving size than the exact size holes you have to use for traditional plastic anchors. The disadvantage compared to traditional wall plugs is that you cut a much larger hole in the wall (so renters should be careful). To date, I've found that the only anchors that are truly self-drilling are metal anchors that look similar to these (which I have). used with varying degrees of success depending on the brand).
