Review on πŸ”§ Adjustable Exterior Hardware - New Release by Bim Cook

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Doesn't cover gaps.

If you need a little extra to keep out drafts or fill a small gap, this product could be a good investment. I needed something to cover the middle gap so I cannot recommend this product. It didn't work for me and installing it caused some headaches. I installed this door closer under my front door. It was a pretty easy process. The height in the description corresponded, the width corresponded, the installation was successful except for putting on a cover. Small deformations caused by screwing in the trawl body make it almost impossible to attach the cover. Through a lot of sand and curses I was able to stretch it. For that reason alone I am deducting a star from my rating. It's just a cover person, he shouldn't be that tight. The final part of why this doesn't deserve two stars anymore is that it just didn't work for me. My door is old and the gap under it is approaching 3/4 inch (slightly less, but that gap is designed for a 7/8 gap). At maximum breakout, the doors should cover that gap, and then a few more. To be honest, I can get him to fill the gap by giving him credit where it's needed. Although it doesn't work for me. There is nothing on the outside of the door brush to prevent it from moving. Only the inside has screws. As soon as the door is opened or closed, the outside of the door rises and the door brush no longer presses against the sill. The inside edge stays down to block most things, but there's a decent under-door draft. If I didn't have a gap to fill, I'm sure that would work well. But unfortunately the door brush did not correspond to the product description and deserved two stars.
