Because my wrist is very small. When I tried to wear and clip them straight, they were too loose on the side near the arm and too tight on the side opposite the arm. This can be mitigated by fitting the neoprene slightly diagonally, but then the cap and sleeve will not fit properly and will end up halfway from the velcro lining. I don't think anyone has perfectly cylindrical wrists. The creators should really design them with that fact in mind. Build quality was a bit poor and the attached velcro only started to wear out after a week of use. Skip these and any others made just like them. Stretch wrap is much better than neoprene when it comes to working with the contours of the wrist.
