This laptop has many advantages, but had I known about the lack of privacy and the auto-erase function due to limited hard drive space, I would have chosen something else. To be clear (and I checked with the company), you cannot permanently store ANYTHING on a hard drive due to very limited hard drive space. This is a computer with no desktop at all. That means you're out of luck if you want to save a password file or whatever else you want to keep in your pixel book but NOT on disk. You can download it to your Downloads folder, but Pixelbook will AUTOMATICALLY delete it if you run out of space. The Google rep who helped me informed me that the answer was to basically save everything to Google Drive. In addition, there is a very big disadvantage. It's a very fast device that feels solid and is quite intuitive to use.
