I've been waiting for this device as I had a project with 8 cabinet doors requiring two different vertical handles (and the prospect of 15-20 additional doors if that's fine.). Well, the hardest part was opening the plastic case - my advice is "be patient" and don't press on the latches; Once you figure out how to press on the plastic "bulge" they snap off and "okay" snap back. The pillow inserts are very good and I can make a wooden box instead of plastic but reuse these inserts. The device itself is well made and all components are metal, but you have to think of it as a "tool"; not a permanent tool/device. Logically assembling the components and checking their squareness before adding the next component yielded great results. Thumbscrews hold tight for any grip size. But again, as a "tool", plan your workspace ahead of time so you have room to mount this sensor between the handles (I had a towel on a portable workbench). Be careful! I'm sure if you drop it from a significant height it will lose squareness and require a complete reinstall. I used two quick clamps to hold this sensor on each door. With one clamp each on the "end stop" and one on the "middle bridge" it worked well. This left both hands free and both sockets open for drilling. The bottom line is that this drilling guide has given me great repeatability and once I got through the learning curve on the first crank, I was able to complete each subsequent crank in just a few minutes. The purchase is worthwhile.
