Mentally prepare yourself before you unbox these. Like seriously meditate or ingest something that will relax you because you are in for a wild ride. I bought 3 boxes. The first box I thought possibly maybe I had broken some unwritten rule about string lights that I was unaware of. They were packed neatly and tied with two twist ties. It took me about 45 minutes to unravel the first strand to where I was able to hang it.Me knowing myself I locked myself in my room for the sanity of all my family members while I took this task on. You will experience a level of frustration that is off the charts.Second box went slightly smoother as I had more of a grasp of what needed to be done to get it untangled. By the third I kind of visually was able to figure out where I had gone wrong and it only took me about 15 min to get it extended. The main reason you are going to have troubles are the stars at the bottom of the strands tie up with everything.So hanging them is a minor hassle as the stars will get hooked on every single open spot that is around. Door trim, the ladder if you are using one , basically anything a plastic hook can get hooked on it will find a way. Like someone else said this set will test your relationship with your SO.Onto the plus parts. They look amazing. And with the connecting of multiple light strands there is a section of the lead without any lights on it that connects to the prior strand. This was a very nice factor for me as you can see from the pictures I have them on three levels with no eyesore light strand tailing up or down. Also with that you will have the one master controller that runs the light show where you plug them in. You won’t have to worry about setting each strand to work in unison.I used to think that some people were just lazy that never took their lights down. Now I think I’ve misjudged them and that they might indeed have these lights.
