When it comes to organizing your bulk essentials, you simply can't go wrong with these storage containers. I've built several 4.0 liter versions of these reservoirs over the years and they do exactly what you expect them to. I store flour, sugar, coffee, beans, candy, whatever, and they store it and keep it fresh. What you see is what you get with these containers. You get a plastic container with a lid that snaps into place by pressing a large button in the middle. If you want to open it, press the button and remove the lid. When you want to close it, put the lid back on, press the button and you're done. You can fold them up if you want, although the larger ones are a bit high for that. The smaller ones fold up really well and are a great way to save space. As far as freshness goes, I stored flour and sugar in it for a year and they were fine. No insects got in and the taste and freshness of my food was not affected. I have stored coffee in it and have not noticed any issues with the freshness of the coffee pots. Candies stored here also do not expire for a reasonable amount of time. Simply put, they do what they advertise and help keep your pantry and counter organized. but they've lasted me for years, surviving being washed in the dishwasher and being accidentally dropped on the kitchen floor without breaking, so I really can't complain about any of that. I would recommend them to keep your ingredients fresh. and organized.
