Bought to be used as a toy box. All parts arrived in good condition and easy to assemble if you pay attention to where the holes should be in each part. Fairly easy to open but harder to close which is fine for my 15 month old as he can't hit it hard with his fingers. It takes enough force and closes slowly enough that he knows how to get his fingers out of the way. Very nice thing, doesn't scream "toy box" like we wanted. My son can reach almost anything inside except for some small or flat objects falling on the floor so this works well for him. I put corner guards on the top corners as they are pointy and sharp in case he falls in. I find the price a bit high but it seems strong enough that I would recommend it.
