I tested this set on my 3.5 year old son and my friends baby who just turned 1 year old. What I love most about this set is that the bowl is perfect for snacking on the go. My child loves to choose a snack before leaving the house and this beats the constant use of ziplock plastic bags. It was easy for both children to hold the spoon and use it to eat. The record isn't exactly sucky, more like the feeling of being glued to a surface. Still does a decent job without moving or slipping. Finally, the color options are amazing. I ended up going for a sage color and I love that this more muted color was an option.
