This ruler is very handy for keeping diamonds in a straight line. It can be difficult to get the ruler off the canvas without pulling the diamonds, but I SLOWLY pulled the ruler up, starting at one end and working towards the other end. When the diamonds want to rise and catch on the ruler, I slide them through the ruler and back onto the canvas. I also take the roller and flip the ruler over to make sure the diamonds are sticking to the canvas before attempting to lift the canvas ruler. You have to work slowly and patiently and slowly, but the end result is worth the effort!
