I bought this external hard drive without knowing that my partner has already bought another brand. So I sent the seller a message saying I want to return this unit. No Answer. I have requested a refund through Revain. No Answer. I then called Revain who promptly issued me a full refund. (Thanks Revain!) and told me I did NOT have to return the CD. So I decided to donate this device but thought I should make sure it worked first. I started with a simple wipe to format the drive to set it up as a Time Machine backup for my Mac. The format seemed to work, but the first backup failed. I then attempted a secure erase of the drive to try again. This deletion failed. Then I tried again with a simple delete. This also failed. The hard drive is unusable, useless. It says "Made in China" and I believe it's a very cheap fake. Don't waste money.
