For the price this is an amazing camera. I'm fishing for ice in a relatively murky lake and whether it's this camera or a more expensive one, when the IR lights are on they illuminate any floating objects in the water and IR lights are only good for crystal clear lakes. However, I could easily see my lure at about 5-6 feet from the camera. and I could clearly see the approaching fish and determine what species it was. At a depth of 8'+/- with no IR on I could see all the features on the bottom of the lake, if the IR was on it it would fog the surroundings (this isn't a camera but the surroundings). For the price, it's hard to beat. I made a PVC camera mount to control direction and angles of view. Has worked for me and produced more hook sets than my flasher. Nothing beats seeing a fish take the bait with your own eyes.
