I ground about 25 kilos of deer with it and had no problems. We chilled/frozen the meat, but that's not necessary with this machine, it seems to handle warmer meat just as well. We made about 6 pounds at a time before wrapping the meat and letting the machine cool down a bit. I thought giving him a break every 10 minutes or so would hurt, but we had no problems. Some oil/fat came out on the very first grind, but that was to be expected and we just tossed away the small amount of meat that had it. But like others have said, it's noisy. Louder than vacuum. My husband and I decided to wear ear plugs! I hope it lasts at least a few years as it worked really well and for the price didn't disappoint. Update: 3rd year of use, still works great!
