Review on Black IRIScan Book 3 Color Handheld Portable Mobile Document Image Scanner by Robert Arneson

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Works perfectly! But the computer program is a bit confusing.

I haven't had any problems with the handheld scanner so far, works great! Mind you, I had it for less than a week. I will say that it takes practice to get it right. I suggest anyone who wants to scan their paperbacks (like me) to wrap the books around the one to be scanned to create a "platform" of even height so it can scan evenly. The only downside is the program that comes with the scanner, it's a bit confusing as there's no explanation of what it does. I wish there were detailed video tutorials on what can be done after you scan something and how, but with practice I learn. This scanner is great in my opinion, just be patient and take the time to learn it before you jump right into a big project. It's best to scan a few pages of something to practice the program.

Pros
  • Cordless, battery operated, very light. Wear it everywhere. Ideal for scanning books, magazines and newspapers
Cons
  • boring packaging
