not suitable for scanning books

It scans single sheets well, but scans pages in books poorly. Unless the entire book is torn into sheets, it is seldom possible to scan the entire page. Although the idea of this device is good. not what i'm looking for.

Pros
  • Runs on 3 AAA alkaline batteries, advanced OCR software, reads Iris Pro 12, converts paper documents, PDF or image files into editable Office documents (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Cons
  • Functionality

Really Effective Scanner

Very good price and ease of use. One flaw is that it doesn't stay in PDF mode after the time delay, so I have to reset after scanning a bit more again.

Pros
  • Scan resolution 300/600/900 dpi, Scan speed: 2 sec for black and white document / 3 sec for color document
Cons
  • Compatibility

not good for scanning books

Scans individual sheets well, but poorly scans pages in books. Unless you tear apart the entire book, it's rarely possible to scan the entire page. Although the idea of this device is good. Sorry, that's not what I'm looking for.

Pros
  • Runs on 3 AAA alkaline batteries, advanced OCR software, reads Iris Pro 12, converts paper documents, PDF or image files into editable Office documents (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Cons
  • Doubtful purchase for older ones People

Not so good yet: scanners and accessories

There is no indication in this description that it is about is a used device. But there are signs that it has been used and returned. The items packaged in it look different from the picture of the instruction manual. The SD card is not empty. It contains a bunch of files and folders - none of the folders are accessible, I get an error saying the syntax is wrong - no wonder everything has weird (ASCII?) characters for names (see image). Only the DCIM folder is available. I don't know if I…

Pros
  • Direct scanning to PDF and JPEG, saving scans to microSD card (included), color screen (scan preview)
Cons
  • Not sure

Works perfectly! But the computer program is a bit confusing.

I haven't had any problems with the handheld scanner so far, works great! Mind you, I had it for less than a week. I will say that it takes practice to get it right. I suggest anyone who wants to scan their paperbacks (like me) to wrap the books around the one to be scanned to create a "platform" of even height so it can scan evenly. The only downside is the program that comes with the scanner, it's a bit confusing as there's no explanation of what it does. I wish there were detailed video…

Pros
  • Cordless, battery operated, very light. Wear it everywhere. Ideal for scanning books, magazines and newspapers
Cons
  • boring packaging
